I only knew my name... Actually, I just guessed it on a whim, so I guess that doesn't even count as "knowing" it. But hey, very wrathful me is apparently the opposite of wrath. Yay!
Didn't know any of these, but you can pretty much figure them out from the corresponding sin list, no? The only one I missed was diligence, and I was trying everything I could think of to do with work (industry, work ethic, etc.) Ah well. Not too bad for a sinful agnostic.
I think it's cuz the 7 Sins are prevalent in pop culture, from books to movies to comics to anime (my personal favorite depiction of them is the one from Fullmetal Alchemist!). People quite simply have more exposure to the sins than the virtues.
What I think is worst of all is what seems to be most people's extreme lack of understanding of what the chief virtue, Humility, really is. Humility is NOT always humble or meek or obsequious - sometimes it is the opposite. Sometimes, people 'play' humble or meek just to get what they want, and that is NOT humble because, covertly, they are really making something about them, rather than about 'the thing', which means that they are not truly humbling themselves to 'the thing',. Sometimes, Humility can even come across as weird or eccentric, which can set up the Humble person to be a target of abuse for the so-called 'normal' people who, in that case, are anything but humble. Sociopaths often target eccentrics.
