I actually never realized that Liechtenstein stood alone as the longest. This may be the only quiz that references the length of one-word countries. I know there is a quiz that asks for the longest name by letter, but that includes multi-word names.

By the way, why does Netherlands count? The correct name would be "The Netherlands" as it is used in English right?

Simply because the Countries of the World quiz lists it as "Netherlands." You are right, "The Netherlands" is the official English name, but this quiz is based on JetPunk's naming conventions
