None in colonies? I'd figure something like Qingdao/Tsingdao would be up here

Very late reply, but no, even Qingdao wouldn't make it. A population estimate for the city were given as between 50k and 58k around 1916, however 34k is given as an estimate for 1911, which probably means it wasn't large enough to be included here.

Instead of "Some of these cities do not exist anymore." because it sounds like they were abandonned or destroyed...

I would rather say "Some of these cities have been incorporated into bigger cities or were re-named".
