Communist Countries on a Map

Can you name all countries that have ever been run as an one-party Marxist-Leninist state?
Not including early Soviet puppet states from between 1917-1922.
Some of these countries no longer exist. Note that these countries are superimposed on a current day world map and some might not have been communist at the same time.

Nepal?

Nepal may be ruled by a communist party, but it's still a multi-party democracy, which doesn't meet the criteria for being included here.

Communism doesn't mean there is no democracy? Nor does it mean no multi-party?

Do you people not read the caveats before making statements like this?

North Vietnam? I am aware that it isn't easy, but I'm sure a mapmaker like you could do it :)

Nominated, by the way!

Thanks! It's there, however typing "North Vietnam" or "Vietnam" will get you both of them. It should display "North Vietnam" when you hover over it on the map.

1948-2009 is said for the period of communism in North Korea. NK is still communist.

North Korea's constitution was revised in 2009 to remove all references to Communism and Marxism-Leninism

When I touched the SVG to zoom in, it zoomed in on the wrong spot everytime, and I have never seen such thing ever before. For example when I touched around the Caribbean it zoomed in somewhere in middle of Atlantic.

Yeah, it's very strange. I'm gonna try and fix that as soon as I can. I think I found out a way how.

EDIT: Should be fixed now.

Grenada as an actual communist regime is a bit of a stretch.

The New Jewel Movement was a Marxist-Leninist party that ruled as the sole legal party during the People's Revolutionary Government. Doesn't sound like a stretch to me.

Is there a reason that the Xinjiang Clique is not included? Was it’s recognition not widespread enough?

From 1951 to 1957 San Marino was governed by the democratically elected UDP communist party. Nepal has also elected a Communist government. I know some people don’t associate Communism with parliamentary democracy but they do occasionally overlap.

Not one-party states thus they don't meet the criteria for inclusion.
