City proper population figures from Citypopulation.de, Population estimate 2019-12-31
Ruhr area and surrounding cities are shown at the bottom right corner (no cities are hidden because of that); Sadly, I couldn't figure out how to make them clickable
Note: If anyone knows how I can make both the main map cities and the bottom right cities clickable, please let me know.
Other than that, ~75% of all city dots in "All 10k+ cities in Germany" have been placed (though I am increasing the sizes for all of them, which will take some extra time). I might do other countries after that (probably only 25k+ versions though).
@Pandora49 - Thanks for the suggestion. The circles were not grouped, but I found out that when the cities are in that box on the lower right corner, you can't click on them. When I drag them outside of the box, they become clickable.
The way I created the box is by using a copy of the original map, creating a rectangle above it and then setting a clip so I can copy the rectangle (and everything inside) over to the other map (this one). Trying to ungroup transforms all circles into rectangles and shows the entire county map (which I don't want).
I found the issue! (though I can't fix it right now since i'm busy) - the issue was that the dot paths in the inset were not the same as those in the path column in the quiz (though the classes were), and the ids were not the same as the classes. This generally happens when you copy multiple paths & dots to make an inset, or when you try to reduce the filesize of an svg. To fix this, set the ids to be the same as the classes in the inset, however, if it exceeds the 600kb limit, do NOT reduce the file using a file reducer website, and instead, paste the path ids there are now (i.e. 'bottrop-8')
