1800s American Humorist Spelling

Josh Billings is sometimes called the second greatest American humorist of the 1800s (after Twain, of course). His gimmick was to purposely spell words strangely to seem like a folksy Southern bumpkin. Can you decipher these words that Billings has (purposely) spelt rong?
Only the correct 1800s American spelling will be accepted.

You spoiled an answer in the caveats... and I missed it anyways. Also, this quiz is not a quiz you can nominate (I assume from description length?).

Oh, good catch! I don't actually care about nominations on this one, I just noticed the opportunity to spell it weird. :)

Now you can nominate it. I don't have any currently, though.
