For the letters A-Z, can you name a common gemstone? In this case, think of a gemstone as a mineral crystal, rock, or organic material that can be polished and worn as jewelry.
Only gemstones that appear more than 0.000005% on nGrams are accepted.
Too bad. The NGrams are probably out of date. Moissanite is amazing. Super easy to manufacture, better sparkle then diamonds, and a 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
The nGrams do only go up to 2019, so it's definitely out of date. It seems that Moissanite has 16,000,000 Google results, more than double of some of the others on this list, so I'll add it as a type-in.
Well, to be fair, I only have that caveat to justify omitting hundreds of gemstones nobody cares about. It's easy enough to add type-ins if anyone has a favourite gemstone that's omitted.
It's not the same as hematite, though. :) I meant that it should work for the letter H as well as hematite does. Sorry for putting it in a misunderstandable way.

You should add chrysoberyl and chrysoprase, though. Also, I kept typing hyacinth for H, and it should work as well as hematite.
Nominated, by the way. :) I forgot to say that.
