I was evidently the 77th person to take this quiz, and every one of them had a perfect score! Good thing so many people are familiar with Costa Rica.

You were probably in the first few after it got reset, since QM changed it a little before featuring it, thus reseting the stats.

Given the fact Costa Rica just made same-sex marriage legal, my first guess was Gender Neutral. I have to say I am disappointed.

I wondered if the name 'tico' came from the Daewoo Tico car that is used very widely as a cheap taxi in Peru (and maybe other nearby countries??) but apparently it's because Costa Ricans make the diminutive form by adding -tico/-tica. ¡Qué hermostico!

If I remember right, Costa Rica has seven provinces/states - and four of their capitals are in metro San Jose. That's pretty unique.

That lizard’s name sums up my thoughts when I read half of these questions! Lol

That is one ruddy tough quiz. A third of the questions I couldn’t even guess at. Bizarrely enough, in Britain we don’t have a slang term for a Costa Rican!

Good quiz! Perfect mix of easy and difficult questions for someone who isn't familiar with the country, or someone that's not from there. Just how I like it.

"Most active volcano" is a bit of a poorly defined concept. Several other Costa Rican volcanoes have been more active that Arenal during the 20th century. If you were to ask "volcano that erupted continuously for 42 years until 2010", that would be indisputable.

2022 and still not carbon neutral. Perhaps that question should be changed?
