There's not anything to rename - after the tragedy, it was abandoned, and has been getting "reclaimed" by the forest ever since. To find what little remains, you need to do a lot of planning, including finding a local guide who knows where to take you.
I'm not sure about the waterfall clue - Iguazu Falls on the Brazil/Argentina border has triple the flow rate of Kaieteur Falls. I visited Iguazu Falls last year and their vastness is just beyond belief.
The difference is really the single-drop factor with Kaiteur Falls; it may not flow as much as other waterfalls. Iguazu is immensely vast, I agree there!
