Good call, IMO. Drogba almost single-handedly (-headedly?) delivered Chelsea's only European Cup/Champions League trophy. They were dead & buried vs Bayern Munich until his goal in the waning moments forced extra time & penalties, where his PK won it. He was lethal in Europe and made Cote d'Ivoire a formidable opponent in international competitions.
Not sure what he said qualifies him as arrogant, but either way, he should be celebrated for never forgetting his home country. He used his wealth and status to build hospitals, provide much needed aid, and, in his most memorable moment on or off the pitch, led a successful plea for the warring factions of his country to lay down their arms and have a ceasefire. Even if it didn't last, it saved lives. So yeah, okay, he suggested he should win an award. Seems pretty negligible in comparison to all the good he's done.
I've never been even close to Ivory Coast and I got 100%, something I don't usually do in these country quizzes, unless I know the country well. I guess this quiz is very easy...
I'm very confused about what the name of the football team has to do with the name of the country. I'm pretty obviously missing something with that clue, but 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Calling yourself the best player in anything (when you are not) automatically gets you a spot on the 'world's most arrogant players' list.
"The voting is not down to me," he said. "But if I don't win the prize of best player in the Premiership it will be a great let down.
"This is not vanity but reality. I believe that, today, I am the best in the League.” He didn't win it. Cristiano Ronaldo did.
