Good quiz. Anything that helps jetpunkers learn more about the Third World has to be good.

Agree. Really enjoying this series, and it's not only the third-world nations I'm learning more about.

It seems odd to specify the president's father when he himself was born in Kenya ;)

Obama was born in the Kenyan embassy in Honolulu, so he was born in both Kenya and the United States.

Lions aren't things or inanimate objects, it looks really weird to me. I was thinking along the lines of earthquake, flood etc so the answer being a living being instead of a thing or a concept surprised me.

It would already look better if it was phrased as "what were they killed by"

The key words in the question are "Tsavo river" anyway. If you heard about the lions before that should ring a bell. If you haven't you simply didn't know the answer and it's okay to not know every answer in every quiz.

In my defence I guessed hippos out of desperation. Luckily the giraffes were otherwise occupied attacking the skyscrapers!

It's always fun to take a quiz like this, read up on a story about Tsavo bridge and realize that 'The Ghost and the Darkness' with Val Kilmer was based on that story.

I was expecting that the people killed on railroad question was gonna be something like malaria or another unfortunate disease like how people died making the panama canal

Im pretty sure the lake question is saying the largest lake in Kenya, but if its talking about the whole world(which it probably isn't im just clarifying for people who think its talking this way) The largest is the Caspian sea. But im pretty sure its talking about just Kenya

I lived in Kenya and it is not the third world country you would expect it to be. Nairobi is pretty modern, along with parts of Eldoret and Mombassa.

Probably the easiest quiz from this whole series. Kenya surprisingly has a lot of world-famous geography, culture and history. Mau Mau uprising probably the only question the average person wouldn't be expected to know / guess.

Also RIP Kelvin Kiptum
