Asia and Africa quizzes coming in the future, though they are not as clear cut as the Americas and so it'll be hard to find accurate dates for a lot of countries, it'll take a while.

There was no such country like Courland. Courland was part of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth

I knew there was a German Venezuela on those dates... tried a bunch of different things for it but failed to get Augsburg.

I would argue that Augsburg did not colonize any parts of the Americas.

Bartholomeus V. Welser, the head of the Welser banking family, was indeed granted the rights to Klein-Venedig by Charles V, however (as far as I can tell) Bartholomeus V never held office as mayor of Augsburg.

All information that I have come across seems to point to the Welser family being placed in control of still Spanish colony.
