Obi Wan doesn't kill Darth Maul, in the Clone Wars animated series, which, yes, IS canon, Darth Maul is still alive, and is killed by Darth Sidious, along with Savage Opress.
Son, if you want a GOOD Star Wars TV show, check out Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars. Ran on CN from 2003-2005 and was the first Star Wars media to feature General Grievous. It explains how he got his rasp, too.
Settle down, CupASoup. Both renditions of the Clone Wars are good. The Epic Microseries is good, especially its representation of General Grievous. The 2008 Clone Wars starts off pretty meh, but by season 3 it's just as good as the next show, and there are a few gems before that as well, like 'Landing at Point Rain,' 'Rookies,' and 'Destroy Malevolence.' I've watched the entirety of both shows and have come to the conclusion that if you want to shame a Star Wars TV show, you should shame Ewoks or Droids from the '80s. Those shows, though not unentertaining, are poorly written and cheesy as heck. Rebels looks like freakin' Orange is the New Black next to Ewoks and Droids. TCW and SWCW are both good shows and we should all, as Star Wars fans, be able to recognize that.
Honestly, I have to agree with CupASoup. I tried to get into watching the Star Wars TV shows and got bored so quickly into the first few episodes that I stopped watching.
So since I left this comment I've actually started giving The Mandalorian another shot and now I really enjoy it. Been thinking about doing the same thing to the Clone Wars cartoon but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Precisely, perhaps one of the better moments of the generally mediocre at best show, that duel even with all of its symbolism should've lasted more than a few seconds but oh well
I think you're missing the finer point of their duel on Tatooine.
The quick defeat and the manner in which it happens portrays the difference in the psyche of each and how this has developed for them both.
Maul is all out anger and power, whereas Kenobi possesses a Zen-like inner peace, no doubt due to his many years meditating while watching over Luke.
Maul attacks with viciousness and spite and Obi-Wan calmly dispatches him with one stroke; I found it satisfying and felt it fitted the narrative well.
I do appreciate the symbolism and it was definitely one of the highlights of Rebels (still pretty bad even with s3 and s4), but like it would have been much nicer to see an epic battle, not just a portrayal of their respective psychological states
I'd prefer to just think of the original trilogy, and I guess the prequels, as canon. So.. Palpatine was indeed killed by Vader and not whoever killed him in the 9th movie (Rey?), and Maul was killed by Obi-Wan... but whatever works for you
she was killed by vader during the attack on the jedi temple during order 66, he may not have been wearing his suit, but he was still darth vader at that point.
It's Rebels and they tone down the violence so we really wouldn't expect that from them, Clone Wars was back when Filoni and Lucasfilm had guts, crazy how they got away with so much
The title should be "who was killed by whom".. otherwise the first answer should be Qui-Gon Jinn. Darth Maul killed Qui Gon. And was killed by Obi Wan. Animated series aside...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Palpatine tortured him and then he escaped then later in Rebels he died to Obi-Wan when he used the exact same 3 strokes used to kill Qui-Gon. However I haven't seen either show only clips.

Maybe add Han Solo (killed by Kylo Ren) and Snoke (killed by Kylo Ren)
