Thanks for your suggestion, but if I accept quid, I think I should also accept other colloquial terms. And it would be undoable to find and check all slang terms for every currency.
Nice quiz! One suggestion: The US Dollar is used in Cambodia alongside the Cambodian Riel in everyday life. 1 USD equals between 3800 and 4400 Riel, and payments are usually made in USD or a mix of USD and Riel, large amounts are usually even advertised in USD. ATMs in the country only dispense USD, if you want Riel you need to get them as change when paying in USD. Could you add the US Dollar as an additional answer for Cambodia?
Excellent quiz! It's so satisfying to see large swathes of green appear with certain currencies, but also a fun challenge to try remembering/guessing the single-country currencies. Nice work.
I wonder what the map would look like if countries using the same currency were merged... Probably wouldn't change enough to be worth the effort, but amusing to see the Eurozone and the two CFA Franc zones in their full glory.
I tend to agree with those that think crown should not be accepted. Since other translations of the meanings of the foreign currencies are not used either. Just because some coins are sometimes colloquially referred to as crown does not make it the name of any specific currency.
The meaning of crown in English is a general one, any foreign currency with a crown on it", so it is more descriptive.
There used to be a British coin called crown but not anymore.
So indeed if you want to be consistent and dó want to accept crown, you should either accept quid buck etc too, the colloquial names. Or royal etc, the English translation of foreign currency. Since these two are the only two reasons to possibly include crown.
I personally have not come across people using it anyway, though that is irrelevant. Do they say I bought this shirt for 100 crowns? Or "they use the crown in this country".
I am a coin collector, and I was hitting the random button doing random quizzes. Coincidentally, I had my World coin collection organized on the floor, so when I stumbled on this quiz, I just started reading the currencies on all of the coins, and I got several because of that 🤣
Could you except "quid" for Pound Sterling?
Leu and lev accepted for each other; and dinar and denar for each other.
Rupee accepted for rufiyaa and rupia, but not rufiyaa for rupee or rupiah, or rupiah for rupee or rufiyah.
Krone, krona or koruna not accepted for each other at all.
This quiz was quite inconsistent.

Anyway, very nice quiz!
