They're still in (reverse) alphabetical order, so "Slovenia" still comes quite explicitly before "Slovakia." Just because the first two letters are the same doesn't mean they're interchangeable.
The first two letters are given as a hint not a unique disambiguator. No such type-ins would be appropriate.
First time playing, 160/196. Got so confused to the point where I started using Ctrl+F and pretending it was the Countries of The World Quiz, no idea if that counts as cheating or not. By the way, suggestion (if you're still reading these) countries like Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines should have an answer like St Lucia and St Vincent.
