intriguing idea for a quiz. I liked it! it would be nice to have the letters on bottom of the map since you have to keep scrolling down to see what city is next and that would help not to have to scroll back up. only one city that I didn't recognize at all.
Thanks, I just updated the grid so that the numbers and letters are on the left and bottom sides respectively too. Also any feedback on whether the new grid colour is preferred over the white?
Interestingly, this reminds me quite a bit of a quiz I made recently, although mine's kinda the opposite since it involves looking at the coordinate and matching it to the city (here, if anyone's interested).
Anyways, this is a great quiz, and I'd love to see it featured sometime!
Nice quiz, nominated. To avoid having to scroll up and down so much, how about making more answer columns, so the lists on each don't go so far down? Also maybe put the letters and numbers along the left and bottom, as well as along the top and right hand side.
It doesn't matter what order you put the number or letter except for Malabo. Was frustrating when I knew it was in 5H or 4H, but the quiz wouldn't accept either.
very creative and fun quiz! only question is why are rows numbered progressively from south to north? i'm probably biased by all worksheets, but a progressive numbering north to south would be less confusing to me
yes this messed me up big time, not that my score would have improved much ( apart from then I could bruteforce guess, instead of tripping up after every single entry) because for me they were pretty obscure cities, had heard of most (not sure about dodoma and malabo) but I would not have know which continent even a lot of them belong in.
It halted me so much, like a complete brain freeze every 2 seconds haha. It is like how you can say the alphabet in 3 seconds, but going backwards you have to think and it is a lot slower ( and that is something without even having to visiually keep checking).
Yeah, over here “Derry” is normally referred to as ‘Derry/Londonderry’. Like most things here, one side calls it one name, the other side the other. But ‘Derry/Londonderry’ is the non contentious version. Or the least contentious version, no doubt some people still find fault with it.
I would suggest adopting the double name, saves those who are staunch political adherents getting upset.
Is it me or is the counting bottom to top very counterintuitive, I had to keep checking with every entry, (even when I did 2 next to eachother). I would change it to count from the other side
I am subscribing you so that I don't miss any grid quiz by you!
