He wasn't a centre forward. Provided a lot of goals and came 2nd in Ballon D'or. Left MU for RM so never got 100 goals here. I hate brand Beckham and the obsession, but you're being harsh on him here!
Beckham didn't play in the Premier League for long enough to score 100 goals. Giggs never won the golden boot, doesn't mean he wasn't a great player. (granted he scored over 100 goals but he played for a lot longer than Beckham in England)
Without Beckham's perfect corner kicks in stoppage time vs Bayern Munich in the '99 Champions League Final, Manchester United have one less European title. Those ALONE make him a Man United legend.
Becks was a winger he was hardly going to win golden boot. All these players besides Ronaldo were strikers. Becks scored 62 goals in the league for United in 11 years. Ryan Giggs scored 109 league goals 22 years playing in the prem. When Beckham left England in 2003 he never went back so how on earth could he score 100 premier league goals? At United Beckham was a key player in a team who won 6 leagues titles, 2 FA Cups and one Champions League with the 1999 season being the famous treble winning campaign, a treble like that is very difficult to achieve in football especially at that time. In recent years we have seen Inter Milan and Barcelona achieve the equivalent of this treble but no one since Barca has done it. Also in the 1999 Champions League final Beckham was chosen to play in centre mid, not his usual position at the time. Beckham played a vital role in the winning goals, taking the corner kicks that would eventually lead to the goals
Pele.. facepalm.. How can you be that ignorant? I realize you are an American which is semi-acceptable as that means you are naturally ignorant towards everything European related, even tho your genes are European because the true Americans are the native ones that you colonized.. For your information, Pele has been retired since the late 70s.
Also missed Hasselbaink.
U're not a Man Utd fan then!
Also York should not give you the answer for Yorke!
Certainly seems harsh not to take "Teddy Sherringham" if you're going to allow "Dwight York".
