It's election day and you are representing the Lime Green Party of America. Name any state to grab its electoral votes and defeat the hated Periwinkle party.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like the time should go back to what it was earlier (20 seconds). That way, it makes it challenging to get to 270, yet not impossible. With the extra 10 seconds, I can get to 270 almost every time.
If 30 seconds feels too much to you, you can make it more challenging by setting additional criteria for you. For example try to paint the map from west to east and then it's not easy anymore. :D
People of JetPunk, I, BotswanaEmperor, with 274 electoral votes, have become president of the United States of America. My first act of presidency is to rate this quiz 5 stars as I enjoyed it and it brought me to where I am today. Thank you.
Correcting people's spelling is one thing but the content too... I think I have seen this done before.

For me there are two Californias and three Texases, as well as plenty of other duplicates, all with different answer percentages. Who knows what's going on.
I clicked on the quiz and it said 18,030 takes, then clicked the answer stats and it immediately jumped to 18,034 takes, and when I went back to the quiz it had 18,040 takes, and then I reloaded the page and it had 18,069 takes.....
This is actually pretty funny, as I remember just a few days ago you were shocked at how Yev's "Random Point to Land" quiz got 16.8k takes in a single day! :)
It's possibly because you haven't given all the same states the same path id. Perhaps changing all California's to be "CA" etc.. instead of a placeholder may fix this problem.
Thanks for the idea Stewart. Changes are currently pending to have that implemented. Hopefully it will work. It could be a few hours though because it is currently 7:23 AM for the QM.
Looking at the answer stats I see that exactly 270 answers get you to the 95th percentile, which is exactly enough to get you 5/5 points in this quiz. Coincidence? I think not.
How do you change the "Your best score part" at the top to 538, because I want to try that? Also how do you change the ones that you get wrong to purple?
After attempting this quiz for a while, I've managed to get 377. Though, at this point I don't bother putting in Massachusetts because of how difficult it is to type it without a mistake.
Best way to win (get at least 270 votes) by fewest characters typed (spelling everything correctly, allowing DC but not NYC): California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa.
My way to get 348 electoral votes is getting Washington, California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.
I think there's a glitch. The scoring box says my high score is 538/538, but the box beneath the caveats says it's 238/538 (my correct high score is 238/538). Anyone else having this problem?
Right now, only 4.5% of people can win the election on their first attempt. Would it be worthwhile to add ten seconds to the time and reset the stats? What do you guys think?
The thing is that if the stats weren't reset, then it'd be unfair to the people who took it before the reset (you could always just screenshot your stats though; I'm sure you could easily regain the five points if you're concerned about that)
Ohio and NH are short enough to be worth it, maybe Idaho and Kansas too? A chart for points per letter would be nice, but I would recommend Texas, California, New York, Pennsylvania, NH, Ohio, Kansas, Texas, Georgia, Indiana.
Assuming: 1) correct state names, 2) abbreviations for NYC, NH, NJ, and DC, 3) spaces are not typed, here is a list of the number of electoral votes per character typed.

Imagine how many it would have it were on the front page two days agoWhen I type "Virginia", both Virginia and New Jersey get highlighted on the map.
