After testing these all out in the first 7 quizzes I made like this, I compiled all he most-guessed answers into a single quiz. Just in case QM wants to use this, should be easy enough for the average quiz taker. I decided to not include hints as these are all pretty easy anyway.
If anyone wants to take a crack at this type of quiz in it's original (more challenging) format, here's the first one I did. In the comments section you can find links through to the ten sequels of that quiz.
QM also apparently has a good eye. I think he changed my instructions from "For each set of actors, name the fictional character that they all played" to what it is now.
I haven't looked through the many versions referred to, but I would have thought Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck would be a shoe in for this quiz. And maybe some combination of Dr Who actors- just to shift the balance back a little from comic book superheroes.
Jack Ryan and The Doctor are indeed featured on some other iterations of this quiz. The answers chosen for this version were based on guess percentages from those other quizzes- trying to make it easier.
I think it would be cool, maybe a bit misleading, to add Sean Patrick Flanery, George Hall and Corey Carrier o the list of people who have played Indiana Jones. They were the 3 who played him in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. I thought it was a great show and sadly underrated.
Sean Patrick Flanery would have been a good addition. I think he might have even been on here originally... QM deleted some of the clues to make it easier to scan.
This is a neat idea. I think the quiz would be improved by varying the sources a bit. There are an awful lot of comic book characters on here. There are certainly enough options to replace some of them.
I've got 17 other quizzes published already on the same subject. Look them up if you like. There are lots of non-comic-book-characters featured. The main criteria for making it on *this* quiz, though, was being easy to guess. Testing proved that comic book characters were among the most-guessed answers.
A shame that the one quite widely regarded as the best Sherlock Holmes of all time, Jeremy Brett, was supplanted by Downey, Jr. and Cumberbatch in the list. Nobody was truer to Conan Doyle's Holmes than Brett. For many, once you've seen him, nobody else will do.
The first thing I thought when I heard the line "History isn't kind to men who play God" in the 007 trailer was, "Well, people are pretty kind to Morgan Freeman, though."
I thought the whole point of James Bond/007 is that they're all different people who take on the same code name so it seems that 007 lives on forever. Would that still count as playing the same character? It's almost meta
The God one had me tripping I was like "Morgan Freeman. Alanis Morissette, and Charlton Heston have all played the same character??" and then I was like "...God...?"
Good quiz and concept just the same :)
