Don't take this one too seriously. This is probably the stupidest quiz I've ever made and that's saying something. Just some dumb fun. This is based on my subjective opinion and my extensive travels and experiences around the world but obviously it's not perfect or consistent or complete, and in all honesty I believe there are beautiful women everywhere.
All that being said, spirited and irreverent discussion is welcome. Trolling and lectures about how immature I am are less welcome, but, hey, if you got a problem with me and want to point out what a disgusting ignorant pig I am, this is your chance.
I just updated this. I moved the USA down in the rankings. I made a couple of other minor changes. The only countries I swapped was I took El Salvador off (the least guessed and probably most dubious inclusion) and put Cuba on (previously the most regrettable omission).
Rather than your subjective opinion of which county has the hottest women and how they would rank there is an objective one.
Its slightly let down (in that the organisers can be political-giving awards to countries willing to pay to host the competitions). But by tallying winners, runners up and second runner ups in the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants you would have a somewhat objective measure of hottness.
I quit this quiz when India, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic didn't show as strongly as I expected.
That's not even close to an objective measure of hotness... many countries don't even compete in international beauty pageants. And even if they did, the preferences of the judges would still be subjective. Further, these pageants make the claim these days that the winners are not chosen based solely on how hot they are, but rather things like talent or personality et cetera. And finally, awards are given only to a single woman in each case; it's not every woman for each country that is competing. I've said numerous times that this quiz is based on the average girl you would find on the street in these countries, not a handful of exemplars like actresses or models.
and Venezuela is 2nd here... which is arguably much higher than they ought to be... but sorry if this weak finish (2nd overall) got your panties all twisted. Clearly you're very open-minded on the subject.
Also, at the risk of taking my own stupid quiz too seriously, this is based on averages. Not on a handful of exemplars. So... sure Aishwarya Rai and Freida Pinto might be more gorgeous than Shakira or Maria Sharapova... but... I'm thinking more about the average girl on the street in Delhi versus the average in Bogota or Moscow.
I've seen a couple comments from this rando calling for my death today or trying ineffectively to insult me without giving any reason why... but is there a hint hidden in the syntax of this comment? Is that you, Mr. ex-president? I know I've said some critical things about you on the site before, but I hope you realize that those things were all meant constructively.
Hahaha... funny but true story: after I took that relessness quiz on the subject and realized that this was true. I went through my quizzes that I had started making and never published (mostly goofy stuff like this) to pick out one to finish that was especially dumb, just to reward my subscribers. You are welcome. :D
I don't doubt that. It was the first country I mentioned above as ones I may have missed. I met several comely Cubans when I was in Florida, though I've never actually been to Cuba. And Cameron Diaz certainly wasn't bad looking in her younger days.
can you at least try to speak in coherent English so I can follow the insult? I know you're trying to make me sad to try and make yourself feel better about something but the effect of groups of words such as those you typed above is just confusion...
This is why I made the comment above about a few exemplars (best examples) not being what the quiz is based on. Same thing goes for the UK as for India. There are some examples of impossibly gorgeous women from there (Rai, Pinto, Padukone)... but... on average??
I think this is the major flaw with many similar lists. People only think of the small handful of beautiful actresses, models, or pop stars that they are aware of and assume they represent the entire country when usually they do not. The average girl from Sheffield does not look like Keira Knightley (whose gorgeous face barely manages to save her from mediocrity as she has the body of a man anyway).
Anyway, I did say the UK is one of the runners-up. Though, this is more for the fact that London and some other towns are so diverse. Not so much based on the indigenous folk.
Finally, Emma Watson is sooooo overrated. and Kate Upton is from Michigan. Very typical American girl.
I don't even know who some of the listed people are, but given those I do know, that seems like a reasonably noteworthy accomplishment.
I've been with well more than my share of women in my life, but I can't really say that I've dated or been with anyone famous. Probably the closest I've ever come to that was Donna (adult film star "Alexis Love").... she's kinda famous. I have twice ended up in relationships with women who were probably the most popular and sought-after females on some Internet forum that I frequented (once on the Burning Souls NIN forum; once on the LPSG); they were both famous on those forums, but not at all famous generally. I dated a legit Saudi princess for two years; but not a famous one (there's only one famous Saudi princess that I know of, and she was an AlSaud by marriage and is now married to an Emirati so no longer a Saudi princess).
Runner-up to Alexis Love would probably be this girl Robin who went by Bird online. She ran and was featured on her own lesbian/alt-porn site back in the 2000s; because to her Suicide Girls wasn't "alt" enough. But... I'm sure she's not even 1/10th as famous as Alexis. And I was going to say that Alexis is not even 1/100th as famous as Emma Watson but (and I have no idea if this is accurate or indicative) I just looked on Google trends and in a side-by-side comparison of searches done Alexis was 7% to Emma's 93% in California... (but 0% to 100% in Arkansas and several other states) Algerians apparently search for Alexis more than anyone else (or they search for Emma less than anyone else). There are 16 countries where she's more famous than in the USA. Fascinating.
I've also been with a handful of B or C list models and actresses in Russia, Albania, Romania, Ukraine and the Philippines. But nobody anyone has ever heard of. Only "famous" in their local community, if even that.
The above is just me musing out loud. I'm sure that at some point some insecure or angry snowflake is going to wander across these statements and interpret them as a brag. They're not. Does it do anything to defuse that assumption if I add that I haven't been on a single date since April of last year? I also think I'm probably currently the most unattractive I have ever been in my entire life. I could blame that on COVID but the truth is a combination of old age and the toll taken by 5+ years of uncured depression. Have not been making any effort at all lately.
Anyway kudos to your friend's mum's friend. And if you get a chance ask him if he's got numbers for Emilia, Kate, or Keira and if any of them have a soft spot for over-the-hill out-of-work sad sacks.
Are you gay or blind? Keira Knightley may not have the largest breasts, but it's her subtlety and beauty that makes her so nice. Everyone has their natural imperfections anyway, that's what makes them special. Compared to how utterly fake american women are, British women can be a lot better.
Secondly, to say Emma Watson is overrated is just plain wrong, are you telling me that she is not attractive? How is she overrated, go and look up some pictures and tell me that she's not as good as other women.
and how can you say Emma is not overrated? I hear people say, routinely, that she is the most beautiful woman in the world. Really? Really??? I mean, yeah, she's cute. She was cute when she was 10 playing Hermione. But take that candid shot of her in a black bikini on the beach, where she is about as hot as my 12 year old nephew, and stand that up next to any photo ever taken of... Aiswarya Rai, Veronika Zemanova, Jennifer Connelly, Maria Ozawa, Jessica Alba, Laetitia Casta, Angel Melaku, Eva Green, Freida Pinto, Emily Ratajkowski, Sophie Marceau, Adriana Lima, etc etc etc... even porn stars like Alexis Love, Lily Thai, Tiffany Thompson etc. And you can't possibly with a straight face say Emma is the MOST beautiful woman in the world. C'mon.
I like Sienna and Emilia of those you listed. I think Keira is one of the most gorgeous-looking transgender person I've ever seen. I'd also add Kates Moss and Beckinsale. But again this is about averages, so...
It is somewhat deranged that you think a ten year old is cute and yet Keira Knightley is transgender: it is extraordinarily chauvinist to believe that all women must have large breast and be perfectly slim in order to be attractive. I would, without a question of a doubt, put Keira Knigthley as the most beautiful person in the world, especially when most of the women you listed are American, and therefore about as genuine as Chinese Gucci. Those women would need a plasterer to apply their make-up and a chisel to remove it, whereas Keira Knightley can do it effortlessly, sans make-up entirely, and still look beautiful. What makes Keira Knightley so special is that she is completely natural (not even a gym-fanatic) and it is not as though any of the other women would look better unprepared and relaxing on the beach, And where is her penis, might I ask?
Surely the average in Britain can surpass the likes of Iran, Algeria and Somalia, where the women are all repressed by Islam anyway.
Hahahaha.. wow. Struck a nerve, I guess. Half of what you said makes no sense. The other half isn't true. The women I listed btw: Indian, Czech, American, Japanese/Canadian mix, Danish/French&Mexican-American mix, French, Ethiopian, French, Portuguese/Indian, Polish-American, French, Brazilian, Mexican, Hawaiian/Italian/Filipino, American.
Thanks for the spirited and unintentionally hilarious discussion. :) I got my money's worth.
Just to quickly sift through some of the other debris here:
In my comment about being overrated, you did realize I was talking about Emma (Watson) and not Keira, right? I don't think Keira is overrated. She's much more beautiful than Emma but I see Emma called the most beautiful woman in the world much more often. Thus, Emma is way overrated.
You don't think kids are cute?
I prefer natural and no-makeup look. I think I would have ranked Bulgaria higher but so many of the women there have lip injections and wear way too much makeup. Common problem in the Balkans. I don't think you've ever been to the US before.
Who said anything about "large" breasts and "perfect" slimness? Keira is skinny af. I just think her body looks like a man's. I loved Little Lupe before she got hideous breast implants. She was petite and tiny. But feminine. I love Alexis Love so much I arranged to meet her before. She's skinny. I like Kate Upton and Monica Belluci. They're not.
Re: Somalia, Algeria, and Iran. Have you ever even seen women from these places? They are, even the average girl from the villages, just flat out stunning. You think an unfortunate political situation in the country where a person is from renders them less attractive? Who's being chauvinistic?
I was just more curious how you got access to a quorum of Somalian women. I read a lot of travel literature, and everything I've ever read about the place says "It's seriously the worst place in the world and no one is safe there." And these comments come from seasoned and (seemingly) well-informed travel writers. (Plus the State Department's travel recommendations for Somalia are almost comical in their assurance that you will die there.) How and when did you go? How long did you stay? Did you feel safe there?
I've never been to Somalia and wouldn't go with the current political and public safety situation. But the Somali diaspora is pretty big. I've met Somali girls in the United States, in Saudi Arabia, in the United Arab Emirates, in Bahrain, in Israel, and in the UK before. There was a pair of Somali twins I knew in Saudi who both individually asked me to marry them. I was thinking about it. I've been to Ethiopia... which borders Somalia and where the women are similarly beautiful. I spent about two or three weeks there, I think, back in 2010; felt perfectly safe and had a nice time.
I'm back in the USA, swiping on Tinder, and I think I might have to take them down a few places in the rankings. The obesity epidemic here is out of control. Still lots and lots of staggeringly beautiful women here, and the variety is incredible and unlike almost anywhere else on Earth at least outside of London, Singapore, Amsterdam, and parts of Germany; but, this is supposed to be about averages so I think it's not really accurate to have them so high anymore. This might be the one biggest flaw with this quiz now apart from the egregious omission of Cuba.
Anticipating that user tman2011 might eventually be purged and follow-up comments to his comment may disappear, a brief recap of those follow-up comments:
I couldn't include every country on the list, though there are beautiful women everywhere and I've been fortunate to know quite a few (at least 50 nationalities represented here I've known "well," and counting), this is my subjective opinion of which countries are home to the most beautiful, on average.
Notable runners-up include El Salvador, Honduras, Austria, India, China, Latvia, Estonia, Serbia, Croatia, Belgium, Egypt, New Zealand, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Iceland, Finland, the UK, Kenya, Namibia, Eritrea, Djibouti, South Sudan, Yemen, Georgia, Ireland, Costa Rica, Cape Verde, Trinidad, Nepal, and Afghanistan (particularly for the Afghan Dari). Apologies if I've omitted one of your favorites.
The results are interesting to me and I think show which countries most people think of as producing the most beautiful women. The #1 most-guessed country is also the #1 ranked country on the list (Russia), so that seems more or less unanimous. I'd say the most over-rated countries are France (ranked 47th, but 4th most-guessed), Spain (ranked 36th, but 5th-most guessed), China (not ranked, but I assume this is the reason why most people get Taiwan as I made it a type-in), the USA (ranked 19th but guessed 2nd), as well as Japan, Sweden, Canada, Mexico, and Australia (which would be higher except for the indigenous womenfolk).
Most underrated seem to be all the East African countries: Somalia (ranked 6th, guessed 3rd-to-last), Sudan (ranked 14th, guessed 5th-to-last), and Ethiopia (ranked 8th, guessed 7th-to-last). Eastern European countries other than Russia also seem to be underrated, notably the Czech Republic which is only guessed by 54% but I ranked them 3rd overall.
Iranians are so good looking! (well, many of them, the men are often squat and hairy) It's almost surreal. But for my money Eastern Europe has got the most attractive women in the world hands down.
I feel like I need to rank Israel higher on this list. Just flipping through profiles on OK Cupid randomly with no location or distance filter active, the Israeli girls that show up are so often just stunning. And I did see a bit of this when I was there. I remember how disappointing it was being on Tinder there, seeing so many gorgeous women, and almost never matching with any of them. T_T Better experience in Russia where I got more matches than I even had time to talk to, and the women were similarly gorgeous, but those Israeli women... oy vey
Good choices. For me Ukrainian number 1 but I agree with most of them and love that you included the women in the Maghreb and in the Levant as well as Persian.
I was a bit skeptical when I saw the quiz title, then chuckled and was relieved when I read the description. But why did I have to come and read the comments? This is going off the rails quickly, pal...
by quickly you mean slowly over the course of four years? :) well... staying on the rails all the time can be boring. That was never really my thing. Do you always color inside the lines?
eh... I said this before and stand by it. While there are some Indian women that are phenomenally beautiful, the average girl on the street? They have to be at the low end of the list measured that way. And this (silly, unscientific) quiz is based on the average girl on the street, not the best-looking women each country has to offer. If it were based on the latter thing then I'd say India would easily be in the top 50, maybe even top 10 or top 5.
Don't really care that I'm giving a lecture, you already know this quiz deserves at least one so here goes:
I've seen your comments on many Jetpunk quizzes and they mostly make me laugh but reading through this comment section makes me feel sick. Ranking countries by hotness is bad enough, but your specific objectification of real women out there in these comments is truly... sad. I know what I say won't change anything about how you view the world and you'll continue on as you are. But do know that even if you think this quiz is harmless and even if you think no one will ever see it and be negatively affected by it, you're wrong. Belittling this quiz and calling it stupid doesn't make it any less harmful. Even if you think it's dumb fun to rank women (not only countries, actual women too as you have in the comments), you are actively contributing to a culture of objectification that leads to so much grief around the world. It's not dumb fun.
This quiz is substantially less harmful than the way you and people like you see the world. Sex negativity, like yours, is responsible for an enormous amount of what is wrong with the world including being largely responsible for violent crime, depression, sexual dysfunction, divorce, suicide, and the phenomena of mass shootings and serial killers. This is what you are actively contributing toward. I am, in whatever small ways that I can, trying to correct that.
This being said, I can tell by what you wrote that you are yourself a victim. Most of us are. If you read something someone writes about being attracted to another person, acknowledging that sex is something normal or desirable, or blandly stating that they find one person more attractive than another, or talking about what excites them or anything else related to this... and you feel sick... then you have obviously suffered very serious trauma, the sort that I described above, and that you are helping now to perpetuate
I genuinely wish you all the best and hope that you get better, as I wish for all the people of this world who have been so damaged by the sexual negativity that pervades and permeates every culture on Earth to varying degrees. It's the one evil in the world that gives tribalism a run for its money in terms of the damage that it does.
Also I am not objectifying anyone. Humans are sexual beings. To deny that is to strip away the core of what makes us what we are. You are dehumanizing people when you deny this vital aspect of our nature. To not deny it is an affirmation of their humanity- the exact opposite of objectifying them.
(aside: humans also cannot be "sexualized." They can only be neutered. Which is harmful to everyone. Like trying to force feed a lion nothing but broccoli and then saying attempts to give him meat are "carnivorizing" him. He is what is he is. You're the one living in denial. Deny hard enough and your cat is going to die of malnutrition. Or go crazy from starvation and maul someone to death.)
That said.. criticisms calling this quiz silly, shallow, subjective, questionably compiled, or even dumb I would call reasonable and fair.
However, lectures calling the quiz or comments harmful, when the real source of harm is the society that would lead one to think this is so or feel the need to state it, I've got to disagree with passionately. I'd maybe share a couple of essays I've written on this subject in my blog here, but probably QM wouldn't like it. Maybe if I toned down a lot of the language and references etc. I feel pretty strongly about this and have devoted some 30-40 years of thought to it. My beliefs have more predictive power than those held by mainstream society, which is how I evaluate if they're accurate or not when I have such a strong emotional response to a topic.
Anyway, I wish we could grab a cup of coffee somewhere and I could explain all the many ways you are very, very wrong about this. Maybe undo some of the damage. Hard to do that here.
I've dated 2 Greek women and 1 half-Greek Texan... all 3, especially the first 2, are among the prettiest girls I've ever been with. One of them is at least a contender for the #1 spot on that list, though she had such inexplicably low self-esteem. I did my best to correct that.
Subscribed recently due to an informative and intriguing debate about Palestine between Jeremy and yourself and stumbled across this quiz...
Crazy to do this at all but I admire the gall and appreciate the humour.
Great to see the Horn of Africa being represented and I agree with you on most Middle Eastern placements but... No Latvia? I am shocked! Maybe I have a thing for tall women but cmon... I'm Australian but I permit you to drop us in favour of Latvia.
Another question- more for curiosity than any in-depth insight but why Netherlands but not Belgium? By a significant margin too... as well as that I'm interested in why Ghana was your only Western African choice... I imagine you travelled there? I'd love to visit Cameroon but if the women are that beautiful perhaps I should consider a joint trip. Also... Do you have it out against redheads because there's a concerning lack of Ireland in your ranking... Those Green eyes have my heart and soul
All that being said, spirited and irreverent discussion is welcome. Trolling and lectures about how immature I am are less welcome, but, hey, if you got a problem with me and want to point out what a disgusting ignorant pig I am, this is your chance.
There are no words. (except those ones).
Its slightly let down (in that the organisers can be political-giving awards to countries willing to pay to host the competitions). But by tallying winners, runners up and second runner ups in the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants you would have a somewhat objective measure of hottness.

and, I've always had issues with my back and joints. Curse afflicting many giants. But right now the main issue is my knees.
After some additional research I've decided Cuba may indeed be one of the most egregious omissions on the whole list.

She would make an absolutely lovely spotter at the gym. Just not that feminine IMO. I still think she's a beautiful woman.
