nice quiz! Tried Zaventem for Brussels, but didn't take it. That's how it's generally referred to in the BeNeLux. It might be a possible addition. But I can see how creating this quiz was a chunk of work in the first place :)
I was very surprised that Osaka (Kansai) is on the list! I skipped typing it in because I was sure it was not going to be on there. I guess I need to leave my personal opinions out of quizzes. :)
Did you have a bad personal experience there? It's #14 overall so that's pretty great. And Skytrax bases its ratings on how passengers at the airport rate their experience there so... if you didn't like using the airport maybe you had an unusual experience.
1. Singapore 2. Incheon 3. Hong Kong 4. Amsterdam 5. Heathrow 6. Narita 7. Dubai 8. Denver 9. Gimpo 10. SFO 11. Atlanta 12. Bahrain 13. Bangkok 14. SEATAC 15. Delhi 16. JFK 17. Doha 18. Boston 19. Houston 20. Raleigh 21. Paris 22. Charlotte 23. Warsaw 24. Fukuoka
Agree with most of these rankings. Especially Singapore at #1... far and away the best. But personally I would not rank Incheon so highly. Hong Kong, Heathrow, and Narita are better airports IMO. Amsterdam is nice but terribly overrated; still it's near the top. I don't remember Gimpo being that great. Bahrain is okay but quite tiny and doesn't deserve to be that high. Delhi... maybe I missed what was good about this airport. Feel the same way about Warsaw though I was last in Warsaw in 2004, maybe they built a new airport since then. Finally, both Qatar's airport and airline are acceptable but far from great. Especially the airport. Overrated by self-promoters.
I've only used Gimpo for arriving, but the location is excellent, very quick metro ride to the city! That might be a reason why it is so high, but not sure if location is taken in account.
I was at LAX a loooong time ago... I think it was '92 or '93. Have never been to the other two. Worst major airport I recall being to was probably in Manila, but it depends on the terminal. I don't remember for sure, but I think Terminal 3 is very nice and Terminal 1 is crap, or maybe it's the other way around.
Last time I was in LAX was 3 years ago. Still looked the same as it did in the 1990s, so you haven't missed much. Rome has the same problem. It's outdated and simply can't handle the crowds. An added joy is the absolutely useless staff, most of whom only speak Italian. Maybe I'm too harsh about mumbai. It has been completely renovated and I hear good things about it. Last time I was there though the shuttle between international and domestic was not working. Came in with a night flight, from freezing temperatures into a sweltering Mumbai, was exhausted, so wasn't in the best of moods. Traffic between terminals was a total gridlock, so it took me an hour and a half to cover less than 5km. This was of course followed by the chaos of any indian domestic terminal. Haven't been back since.
Philadelphia has to be on there too. I mean seriously - one time when my dad was there, a plane was blown off the chalks, and instead of going down to fix it, the workers stood there and took pictures with their phones!!!!! If you get through Philly without a delay consider yourself the luckiest person in the world. Also you'll get ear cancer from all the Philadelphia soul music they play through the speakers. To make a long story short, avoid Philadelphia airport at all costs.
As a Phily suburbs native, I must say that the airport isn't that bad (besides the music, that part is true.) However, it is not nearly as fancy as some other airports
I was travelling through Panama a few months ago, and I don't understand why Tocumen is on this list. It is the worst international airport I've been to (maybe Rome was worse, but it's too many years since I've been there to recall properly). It was way too small and didn't handle the big crowds at all, the number of passengers must be to much for this relatively tiny airport. The lack off staff was also unbelievable. I couldn't even buy myself a beer after 8pm... Thankfully they are expanding major, but from what I've read it's not done until at least 2022. Great quiz nonetheless!
I've been to PHL. It's a bit small, but beats JFK and EWR. What I don't understand is how JFK came here. Very complex. Good think LGA didn't come on the list, though!!
I went to Schipol in 2015. Thought it was amazing. I must say that I have always liked Indianapolis the most though. Maybe that is because I am originally from Indiana :). It is very clean, there are great stores and places to get food, and it is fun to have a layover there. I would like to hear what people think about it.

Great quiz though for airport and airline enthusiasts like me:)
OR Tambo is probably one of the worst airports in the world, it's known as the airport of the thieves for a good reason.
