This is an insane quiz, but I don't know if people will want to take it if it fails to save your answers. It still doesn't as of now. Is it because of how much there is to process?
Fun! (Even though this large of a quiz made my computer really slow) I got 1326. Didn't see the note that CDP's were included. Either way 10000 is impossible.
OMG, I just spent an hour on this and it didn't save my result. I wish I had read the comments before instead of after. You should put that stickied information in the caveats, if not the quiz description.
I guess this quiz is officially the biggest waste of time on the site!
I wanted to take this Quiz Really bad but 10,000 is just entirely too many answers with not enough effort to care lol. Even for an hour. Also I just read that it doesn’t save anyways so what’s the point lol. I will commend the effort and time it took to make a quiz of this caliber tho. More than I could ever do. Props to the quiz maker. I just don’t think the internet and Humanity is ready for it yet haha.
I also wish we had the ability to take this quiz untimed just to see how many we can get right, but that seems to be only an option on the quiz platform Sporcle at the moment.
That was fun. I got to about 1650 or so. My hands are very tired right now! So sorry that the quiz has a flaw that makes it impossible to save results. It was fun, anyway...was waiting for a huge file to transfer between computers, anyway, so it was a pleasant way to squander an hour.
I did just the Maine towns and thought that, but it's using the Census Bureau's offsets to New England towns that totally redefine their actual borders.
After checking, the Census Bureau aligned it at 2,260 for the "Census Designated Place" in 2020. The actual municipality had 5,089. There's absolutely zero difference between towns and cities in New England. One type has a city council and city manager; the other has a town council and town manager. They can function absolutely identically, but the Census Bureau reports them in radically different ways.
Got 1015 including 10 no-one else has gotten, (It helps to have lived in Texas most of my life). But here's what I left out: Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Minneapolis.........Duh...Spent too much time dreaming up possible names!
Great effort on the quiz 👏

Maybe one day there would by "by proximity" version of this quiz.
