Yeah either that or they just know how to guess countries on a map :) It also just got reset so the numbers will probably go down once more people take it
The Turks would probably say the precursor of the Ottoman Empire. I'm not saying that's necessarily true, but in terms of geography the Ottoman Empire looked way more like the Roman Empire.
Because this is a quiz site focused on Geography and highly populated by Geography buffs. Also because it's a map and people on this site know what Kuwait looks like.
It's not the United Kingdom on the map though - that's just Britain (not Great Britain which includes Scotland) - just to be nitpicky. UK is the modern day country.
I'm pretty sure you are wrong about the Ukraine/Modova part. That is 100% Ukraine. As for the Crimea, one could have a discussion whethe or not to count de iure or de facto ownership, but since both countries are on the quiz anyway because of other territories, that discussion would be meaningless.
EPIC Idea and must have taken a lot of work to make your custom SVG map. Also it is crazy to think that Rome stretched from north England all the way to Kuwait and then to Morocco!!?
I appreciate his efforts! Though I just want to point out, cropping an existent map is quite easier than making new borders, like the subdivision quizzes.
East was where the good stuff was. Much richer and more civilised. More loot but also easier to exploit as many parts had well organised central governments to extract taxation from the unfortunate inhabitants.
in 2022, in the Ukraine War, Russia captured Crimea
Who else got 100%?
I scored 100% in 2 minutes 56 seconds for 5 / 5 points
