Taking this quiz, I wished I had a New Yorker looking over my shoulder - just to click "same," and watch them get totally triggered!

I'm a New Yorker, and if I saw you do that, I wouldn't get triggered, I'd just think you were ignorant.

4% of quiz takers thought Jackie Chan was Bruce Lee? That’s just straight up illogical.

And Cassius Clay and Muhammad Ali being the same person is? 🤷‍♂️

If you’ve no interest in those fields of knowledge, then answering questions on them amounts to no more than just random guesswork.

Well why would a famous Hong Kong person with an anglicized first name change it to a different anglicized first name? AND change their last name to another common Hong Kong name? Not to mention that they’re both obviously stage names, so why would someone have two well-known stage names?

I think there are many logical scenarios where a Clay becomes Ali or vice versa. Religious conversion, keeping ethnic or religious background private in your stage name, etc. if you don’t know them, it’s 50/50. I think this is not the case with Chan and Lee.

I have no interest in boxing yet knew the Ali one. It's called general knowledge.

As for the Lee/Chan one, I also have no interest in their movies, but one's been dead for decades, the other one's still alive. I'd say this one's a lot more obvious.

Super quiz, some really good options here and I did much worse than I expected to! Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan seems a little out of place though perhaps...

Big cats always especially confuse me - mountain lions/cougars/pumas/jaguars/leopards/panthers :S

Good quiz idea and great questions. I guessed there may be some tiny differences between donkeys and wild asses due to domestication, but fair enough, they're the same thing.

I was rather expecting it to be even more so: If "Virgin Birth" and "Immaculate Conception" had been one of the questions, it would be a trap for an amazing number of people who think they're the same.

Really, 2 questions makes something too biased? This quiz is far more zoologically biased, one should complain about that instead.

Are not Pumas and Cougars different things? Cougars are a species of puma they are not the same thing.

Donkeys are not asses, ass is the common name for the sub-genus Equus Asinus and donkeys are the subspecies Equus Africanus Asinus.

So donkeys are asses but asses aren't donkeys and the same goes for cougars and pumas.

"While donkeys have been domesticated, there are still wild asses. They include the African wild ass, the onager and the kiang. The domestic donkey is called ass or donkey, but wild asses are rarely called donkeys."

An ass is not always a donkey but a donkey is always an ass

Hardly more than 50% knew that a pony is not a small horse... wait?? That outcome is not much higher than random guessing. This is quite shocking. Thank god the sheep question didn't end up at 20 percent or something.

Now I do wonder, have those people seen ponies and thought they were baby horses (which I really couldn't imagine if you had seen a "normal" baby horse*). Or did they just think it was a nickname for a baby horse and are totally not aware of the breed of ponies?

*Edit I was thinking about shetlanders in specefic. A clear difference. Though I think any baby is easily distinguished from an adult.

Also quite surprised to see scapula so low. That is less awkward though, not like thinking a donkey is the same as a horse. It is scientific terminology, but still I would have expected it muuucch higher especially on a quizsite like this with inquisitive minds, but even on an average quiz like a tv show. I kind of thought it was almost common knowledge, not just advanced knowledge. Not thinking of it I could totally get, but when the answer is already given.

Nonetheless I think it is always intriguing so see on these quizzes which things score high and which score low. The surprises are what keeps it interesting.
