Countries of North America in an Indigenous language

The name of each country in North America is given in an indigenous language. Name the country.
Some of these names only refer to a part of a country, but since data is often so sparse I had to make do with what I could

Man, with this amount of time and without the yellow box, I would of just guessed every country in North America

Maybe you should make it more about real knowledge and less about guessing random countries, there is so much time that I managed to get them all just by guessing all North American countries

I agree. It's a great quiz, but in most cases I only realised AFTER guessing the country (mostly by blind choice) what the linguistic similarity was between the current name and the native one. And that's just a few, I mean the ones with linguistic similarities. The others are completely random for me.

It's a good idea that the names of the languages are included, because the countries close to each other are also connected by the same languages, so it's easier to guess them. But it's not enough. There could be other hints to help, like what these names mean for example. (That might help the players guess at least which one belongs to islands, and which to the countries on the continent...)

Chetumal is a city in Mexico isn't it? Or is it the maya name for Belize as well? Great quiz!

Nicoya is only a peninsula, not the entirety of Costa Rica. And it comes from Nawat.
