Good quiz! But I think some of the path strokes are a bit different. For example for Sri Lanka, the stroke is a bit too large / thick compared to the others, just a small thing.
I don't think Singapore was ever Dutch. It was established as a British trading post, in a time when the Dutch navy could no longer post a reasonable threat to the Royal navy
Deishima, indeed. I think the quizmaker chose not to include trading posts, however permanent, because this is an 'empty map' and locating dots would have been quite hard. I think Dekkie has a more detailed quiz about the Dutch empire's holdings
/spɛlt/
verb BRITISH
past tense: spelt; past participle: spelt
past and past participle of spell.
But Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire looks like Hispaniola...
Cool Quiz!!!
Some extra info about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_annexation_of_German_territory_after_the_Second_World_War
It is also missing Iraq (Basra), Iran (Hormuz), Canada, Mozambique, Chile and quite some other countries.
Just curious why is there a hole in Sri Lanka?
