I was already gonna nominate and say this should be featured! But in all seriousness, your ideas are very original and take much more effort than I've ever given. I wish I knew how to use Inkscape!
It's not that hard, you learn it as you're going along. Your first maps won't be perfect, but with time you'll get more experienced. You can find a lot of information online and I'm sure the discord community is glad to help you. I just downloaded it one day and started making maps.
How did you place the subdivisions so accurately? I've used IAB's North America subdivisions map for some of my quizzes (where a majority of answers are in the USA/Canada), but I am almost never able to correctly align the subdivisions in a way that touches all of the borders equally. For example, check my 100k North America cities quiz and look at Texas, which doesn't 100% touch Mexico correctly.
