This quiz tests how many Dutch railway stations you can type in 45 minutes.
Includes all 399 train stations within the borders of the Netherlands that are currently being served by any operator, some of which are only used during special events.
The station names found on the physical station name signs are used for this quiz. The station names used by NS (Dutch Railways) are sometimes slightly different and are also accepted, as well as the fully written versions of some abbreviations.
Thank you for the feedback! I have added more type-in options now. For example, you can just type Vathorst or Camminghaburen, without having to type the name of the city first. General terms like Noord don't work though. Also, I chose not to accept former station names such as Delft Zuid.
They are in fact two separate stations. Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA (Asb) is a large, well known and frequently served train station, as you probably know. Whereas Amsterdam ArenA (Asdar) is a small station, few people know about it, and normally no trains stop there.
Asdar has a single platform, slightly to the north of Asb. It has direct access to the stadium that both stations are named after. Special trains with football supporters used to run to/from this station, but that almost never happens any more. The location is also a little unpractical, because it lies by a bit of railway that is normally not used by passenger trains, connecting the station of Diemen Zuid with Asb.
