Hagia Sophia should be accepted, as it's the actual name.

My Name Is Red is written by Orhan Pamuk. Erdağ Göknar is only its English translator.

Great quiz! Kızılırmak is though Turkish for "Red River". Might as well accept Kizil or red for it.

Thank you for this beautiful quiz my friend. As a Turkish, here are some correction suggestions for you: First of all there is nowhere called Turkish Kurdistan, you can use Southeast Anatolia instead of it, or you can use another ancient region something like Cilicia or Licia just like Cappadocia. Secondly you should accept "Malazgirt" for Manzikert. Thirdly, you should accept Mevlana (or Mavlana, Mawlana...) for Djalal ad-Din Rumi.

Cope with the Kurdistan bit, that's what it's pretty much universally called

Just because many people say a statement, does not make it true my friend. You should be open to new information.

Great quiz. Ludicrously forgot the Tigris and Euphrates (I've crossed them both). And couldn't remember the spelling of Manzikert.
