Brett was a 3rd basemen for the majority of his career and didn't shift to 1st until the end of his career. I love Mookie Betts, but how is Mike Trout not the best in the 2010's?
Also, for 1980s: I give the nod to Ripken or Henderson over George Brett -- it's arguable he was not even the best 3b of the 1980s (with Schmidt and Boggs in contention).
