No breakdancing? No Brazilian dance fighting (capoeira?) Most importantly: no funky chicken?? blasphemy
Level 83
Mar 9, 2014
Also no salsa or merengue or that Brazilian dance where a lady slams her butt repeatedly into your face?

I was whistling the lambada to myself taking the quiz but couldn't remember it's name...

For "jig" I was thinking of Riverdance.. but that's not three letters.
Level 59
Mar 9, 2014
Jig was the furthest from my mind. I had no idea jig was even Irish.
Level 65

All I could think of the Irish dancing was clogging.

How about just "Lindy" and just "Slide" (as electric is already in the clue)?
Level 83
Dec 7, 2015
Agreed - I've usually just heard the term "lindy."
Level 84
Jul 27, 2017
Same here. Didn't know what else it could be when "Lindy" wasn't accepted.
Level 69

Wait, how is the Macarena a "hand dance"? I thought it was just one of those dumb line dances you did at weddings, like the Electric Slide and that dumb cha-cha dance and (if you're as old as me) the Hustle. What have I been missing all these years?
Level 69
May 3, 2016
Oh right, now I remember (having looked it up on YouTube): most of the moves were with your hands. I must have blocked it out; I used to drink a lot at weddings.
Level 70

Just a jump to the left...

And then a step to the right!

I was expecting the Fox Trot! but the Time Warp would have been awesome.
Level 37

The Electric Slide is also known as "the bus stop", and since when is YMCA a dance and not a song?
Level 18

8 classical Indian dances, with one of the earliest treaties on dance and dramaturgy, the Natya Sastra, and not one mention here. Dance knowledge this is not!!

You're my dad! Boogie Woogie Woogie
