Nice! I did not do well and probably lost most of my time visually scanning for where each colour was to click since they're not in alphabetical order!
Hmm, do you think it would be better alphabetically? I put them in colour (rainbow) order as that felt more intuitive to me. I found myself hunting around more when they were alphabetical. What do other people think?
also, rainbow ordered means it's the same for everyone, independent of their native language. alphabetical order would be a terror for me since in portuguese, all those colors names start with different letters.
I didn't realize it was rainbow ordered, but rainbow seems better alphabetically.
However I also wasted quite a bit of time scanning (less so on my second attempt). I felt like it would be much easier to read if the words were not beside eachother but underneath eachother. Somehow your mind processes them better then, more all at once. And as a bonus leave dragging your mouse (touchpad...) around.
Just type in the first letter of the given color and hit enter. For example, if the color is green, type "G" on your keyboard and hit enter, and "GREEN" will be selected.
That's the moment that throws me off the most. The word describing the correct answer makes my brain more likely to focus on the word of the next answer, instead of the font colour.
Good question! My first guess was that it should be easier because it's more likely to get less distracted by the meaning of the word. On the other hand, you would need to search for the correct answer in a foreign language which should result in a couple of milliseconds slower reaction per word. I'm not native a English speaker myself so maybe I can try and find a version of the test in my mother tongue and see which was easier.
1:05 is the absolute perfect amount of time for this quiz. I took it 5 times before getting 100% and each time I was either a few seconds short or finished with 1-2 seconds to spare.
Glad to hear that. I think I set it as a minute at first and then added a little bit more when it seemed slightly too tight. My best time is 48s but I played it a lot when testing.
I find that a good strategy is to look with your peripheral vision, because you can't easily read the word, but you can easily detect the color. Allows you to go fast with little risk of picking the word instead of the color.

It has to be quick so that it is a challenge.
I usually mess up at the end due to me rushing to make it before time runs out.
GREAT QUIZ OVERTIRED!!!!!!
great brain teaser!
