I left the time long so it’s a matter of making the right choices rather than racing the clock. As you can only guess once it doesn’t really make a difference. Curious if you’d prefer a tight timer though, and how long if so?
This quiz seems a bit screwy to me. I selected all the European countries -- correctly -- and left behind all the non-European -- also correctly.
However the quiz said I still had 25 guesses remaining, and wouldn't end. I had to explicitly click the "Give Up" button to get the quiz to end.
At which point it correctly tallied my score, said I had 45/45 and everything seemed fine. But it was weird that I had to actually click the "Give Up" button to end the quiz.
Is this intended behaviour? Or something weird with my browser (Firefox on desktop)? Or...?
If it is intended behaviour, a note somewhere to this affect might be appreciated. ☺
It's something affecting a lot of Sudden Death quizzes right now. It's a new format so some bugs are to be expected in the early days. It has been reported so I'm sure a fix is incoming :)
Got so scared that one of the red/white ones was Indonesia. And that Romania was actually Chad. Had to do it twice though since I mixed up Ivory Coast and Ireland on the first run.
I had all of the flags correct except one, and I looked over 5 times in a row to see where it was. Turns out, the flag was Lichtenstein (or however you spell it I dunno). The thing is, the Lichtenstein flag didn't even show up. It wasn't anywhere in the quiz. Can you review this problem?
I'd thought the same actually. I filled the explanations for them, but I don't think they appear anywhere. It would be good if there was a way to show them.
My tactic for identifying Ireland is that its flag symbolises unity of Catholics (Green) and Protestants (Orange), but the Catholic colour comes first as there're more Catholics in Ireland.
There are two flag pairs that always get me. Ecuador/Colombia was not a worry today, but the other is Estonia/Botswana. Today, I got it right. If I took the quiz again in a week, I'd be 50/50 to get it wrong.
Nice quiz. How were you able to find the id numbers for each of the flags. Was there a specific website you used because when I am trying do it, I cannot find the specific html codes/numbers for each of the flags. If you could guide me to a website, that would be much appreciated.
I used this website. Go to the All Flags of the World quiz (or any featured quiz you want to use), click on a flag, right click and Copy Image Address.
Safer to use pictures that are on JetPunk featured quizzes as they are unlikely to change.
Could you explain how I can properly add those flag images so they work in Sudden Death mode? I tried using the image URLs, but they’re not showing up correctly. Any advice would be really appreciated!
Copy this quiz, look at the answer page, select an answer box with a flag in it, and click Edit Html. You'll see how to do it. (https://www.jetpunk.com/copy-quizzes)
But otherwise amazing quiz! By the way, just for the record, how did you use images?
