In dark mode it looks like there are suppose to be 10 extra answers in a row above the actual answers (probably blank column headers) I think making the background color transparent instead of white should fix it
Don't think I did too badly for someone not from the US, but please loosen up the type-in for Massachussetts (don't even know if I typed it right there), because nobody has time to memorise how many Ss and Ts are in that name.
Not enough time. Either the drawing speed needs to be increased or the time limit needs to be raised. Even someone who knows every shape isn't going to be able to get this without practicing many times... Same goes for the European country shapes quiz, too.
Have a look at the stats. 55% of quiz takers (2000+ people) got them all on their first try. On the European quiz it's about 34% after being on the front page. Seems right to me.
Having to type in the correct spelling of the full name can eat up a lot of time. Could the two-letter postal abbreviations also be made acceptable? (I know not everyone knows them but it'd be faster than trying to spell some of the full names.)
Well made quiz. Fun to play, and yes, I think it should be featured. (50/50 chance between Colorado and Wyoming. Choose the wrong one, that's 5 seconds wasted. Also, I didn't know Rhode Island's border was that wonky, and I didn't think Washington's border was that complex).
Who can reliably get the square states, and what are your tips for telling them apart? I always forget how to spot a CO vs WY etc. Even KS/NE are tough for me to remember
KS has a wobble in the northeast corner; NE has a rectangular section cut out of the southwest corner.
On most of the state quizzes, I usually remember Colorado is the one big enough to noticeably curve in the image, but I’m not entirely sure whether that was feasible here.
I found it depended which part was being drawn first. Recognize some borders faster than others. Finished with eight seconds left, so time isn't an issue. Typing takes longer than recognizing the shape sometimes. Canada's ten provinces and three territories would be an easier quiz.
Almost certainly a result of people who know all the states, but don't know what the states actually look like, so for each one they just guess all of the states alphabetically in order.
So i don't know if these are randomly drawn or not...but i started each guess with "IOWA" because it's only 4 letters thinking that at some point it would get a quick one and then move on to like Utah or Texas...but Iowa didn't come up until the very last answer completely ruining my strategy. haha

Almost certainly not. The number of people who know the states in alphabetical order but don't have a clue what they look like, and can be bothered to type them out 50 times, will be very small. If a handful of people did do that it wouldn't affect the stats.
I think there might have been a bug with randomisation when the quiz was on the front page so lots of people took it with the questions in alphabetical order.
you wanted them to throw in some pakistani provinces and a few french region flags ?

Colorado and Wyoming are a coin toss, it matters little as it's not a minefield quiz.
