Right Bond. For your final mental acuity test you have 007 minutes to recall all of your previous mission locations and find their modern day countries in Q branch's "digital database". Don't let me down! - M
Official film series only. Narrative locations, not filming locations
Unclear/fictional countries not included. Source here
I feel ashamed - I just guessed random non-obscure countries, then used the alphabetical list to get the missing ones. Some of them I did think "oh yeah, I remember that one" after I got them.
Very enjoyable though, even if I wasn't really worthy of the theme!
Glad you like it. This is actually a pared back version of what it became at one point (had more colours and things moving) so have tried not to make it too crazy, while also giving the feel of those computer displays in older Bond films. I'll always consider suggestions though :)
Very nice one, got to all but 1 of them. (before even noticing there is the list underneath telling you what continent you are missing one). I am seriously wondering in what story 007 went to Uganda.
Give yourself full marks, you were right to question it. There's an early scene in Casino Royale set in Uganda, but Bond isn't there. Sorry about that and thanks for pointing it out. Quiz has been corrected.
Double checked all the other answers and removed South Africa too. Same deal. Scene there in Diamonds are Forever, and important to the plot, but Bond doesn't actually go there.
Bond absolutely goes to Uganda in Casino Royale. The chase gets to the Ugandan embassy! I mean, doesn't really count, but he technically was on Ugandan territory, so the quiz wasn't suuuuuper wrong.
Saw your indiana jones map quiz and clicked on the series praying there was a bond one, this is brilliant and its got my nomination, shame you cant have the continents and the countries visited by film, but maybe that would make it abit too easy anyway, still top quality quiz
The Jetpunk standard is not to get involved in territorial disputes and have answers simply reflect the physical reality on the ground, regardless of whether that reality is a good thing or bad thing. The reality in this case is that Russia controls Crimea. Now, I don't think Russia should control Crimea, but I agree with the Jetpunk approach as it is the simplest and most objective way to do it.
Me neither. I just got 40/44 by guessing the big countries, and those that have really famous sites that could plausibly have appeared. (Plus filling gaps in the alphabetical sequence below the map!)
Poop. Only missed Albania. Surprised Mr. Bond has never once made it to Ireland, especially given Brosnan is from there. Also a little surprised by the absence of Argentina, the UAE, the Philippines, Ukraine, Iran, Malaysia, and a couple other places. I know Ethan Hunt and Jason Bourne made it to some of those. and I guess I'm better-traveled than a superspy because my list is longer.
Great quiz. If you're looking for additional franchises you could do, you should consider making a similar quiz for countries that Ethan Hunt (Mission Impossible) has visited.
Any reason why 'Britain' isn't accepted, as it seems to be on nearly every other quiz here? Nobody's got time to go for the full United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and 'UK' is, let's be fair, commonly used almost exclusively by Americans.
Sorry, not sure why the type-ins for the UK weren't set to include Britain. Fixed now, thanks for mentioning.
It wouldn't have been possible to type "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" as United Kingdom was accepted on its own. Also, agree with the above comment. I'm a Brit and I almost always write UK, not Britain.
The strat is to start by answering the most popular countries of the world, then to try the countries surrounding, then to put as much country names as possible, no matter how popular they are, and it worked
Nice quiz, too much time though. I guessed all of them with 2 minutes left, with only having seen the Daniel Craig movies and 2 or 3 of the older ones.
I don't think I have seen a single bond movie ( maybe a few minutes of one, but I think my memory is from previews, like tonight on this channel) but it was still fun guessing! I managed to score above average (39) (and I did not brute force it by typing countries as fast as I could, there is no fun in that and I don't get why people do then and then subsequently complain..
I tried to use logic, could guess 2 from the title and 1 from a videoclip for the rest I went for countries that seemed to make sense, spend more time thinking than typing.)
Great idea and exectution. Had to laugh at the 007 minutes :D

...echo in here...

I'm pretty sure it's all correct now.
Way funnier to guess them without being a die-hard fan
– could still nail 41 out of 46 just focusing on glamour / dream-like or war-stricken countries
Thanks!
In From Russia With Love, his train must pass through Bulgaria too, although that doesn't quite count as a "visit".
the aesthetic of the map is really cool!
I'm surprised that, after all these years, Bond has never been to Ireland.

Never watched a James Bond movie
