Pierce Brosnan the best? I think not, @AlexThirkell.
As much as I love Pierce, Sean Connery and Daniel Craig (who I note are your third and second ranked, respectively) were clearly the best as far as this female baby boomer is concerned.
Apropos of nothing, my mum’s friend dated George Lazenby in the 1960s (in Australia).
Brosnan forever. I wouldn't have put Lazenby last though. An interesting interpretation of the character. I would have liked to see him in more James Bond movies.
The fact that the standard of modern movie production is vastly better than it was in the 60s and 70s makes the movie better. It does not mean necessarily that the actor is a better Bond.
Put Connery in the modern movies and they get even better.
Put Daniel Craig in the 1964 Goldfinger and.... he may not have pulled off the stylish cool louche Bond that Connery portrayed.
You could posit the notion that if anyone but Connery had been the first (real) Bond, there may not be a franchise now.
Was it the one where he shot someone and got in a vehicle chase and used a kooky gadget and met a beautiful woman and stopped a guy with a physical deformity from doing something bad?
It is a great quiz, @Overtired. Unfortunately, it’s not working properly for me on Safari (but it is fine in Firefox). Three or four of the images do not display in Safari.
Ah, I think you’ve pinpointed my problem, @Overtired. I’m using a 2013 iMac running (cough, cough) Mojave 10.14.6. Guess it’s time I got off my rear end and updated my OS. Thanks for your response.
1. Pierce Brosnan
2. Daniel Craig
3. Sean Connery
4. Roger Moore
5. Timothy Dalton
6. George Lazenby

1. Sean Connery (This shouldn't be contested by any fan)
2. Timothy Dalton (Amazing actor and dark take)
3. Roger Moore (Best in his first 3 outings)
4. Pierce Brosnan (Goldeneye is a top 3 Bond film but thats it)
5. George Lazenby (He cried when his wife died, that was bold)
6. Daniel Craig (Terrible. Should never have been cast)

Very fun quiz though...clever idea!
