Hmm, good call but I've decided not to include it. It was made by Disney MovieToons, a separate unit which made a lot of direct-to-video sequels, some which were released theatrically. Problem is if I include those there a lots of other films released by Disney but not made by their main studio that I'd have to think about including too. For simplicity's sake I've kept it to films made by the main Disney and Pixar studios and have updated the caveat.
Not that I disagree, but how can you call a theatrically released film direct-to-video? Surely that defeats the entire purpose of the term? Or is it used in another way?
No I just worded it badly. I meant they made mostly direct-to-video sequels, with some theatrical releases. I wouldn't be surprised though if some were intended to be direct-to-video and then got diverted to theatrical release. I've read about it happening before.
