Some other categories I looked at but that Jefferson came first in... Most languages spoken, most illegitimate children probably, and most slaves owned.

He also came third in one estimate of peak net worth, behind Trump and Washington, though adjustment for inflation is an inexact science.

On executive orders, there are 5 known issued by him, though early executive orders were not all recorded. The president with the most issued 3,728! A little quiz on that here if you want to guess who...

I love the idea! I'm a fan of the original concept, and this use is very clever. Congratulations!

I'm French, so US isn't my cup of tea, but I got 18, so it's probably quite easy for an American, but it's a good point.

By way of conclusion, it's an excellent work! Nominated, of course.

Shouldn't Biden be an option for "oldest at end of presidency?" There is no possible way he could be younger than Jefferson at the end of the presidency even if he died today.

Ha, yes. I was in two minds whether to include him or not. I decided that as his presidency hasn't yet ended that to be truly nitpicky about it he shouldn't be an answer.

Added him now. If Trump makes it to the end of his second term he'll sneak into first place again.

Aye - maybe when they find a way to reanimate the deceased Trump through his DNA and bring him back to life, he can run again and be assassinated multiple times.

Useless trivia: Lincoln is the only assassinated U.S. president to be shot once. Everyone else got it twice.

He and Kennedy are the only 2 to be shot in the head. Garfield and McKinley would have lived under modern, more sanitary practices.

If you want to get really technical, then Thomas Jefferson was not tied for second most time in office. Because of leap seconds, here is how the ranking should be:Franklin D. Roosevelt - 4,422 daysRonald Reagan - 2,922 days, six secondsBill Clinton - 2,922 days, five secondsBarack Obama - 2,922 days, three secondsGeorge W. Bush - 2,922 days, two secondsThomas Jefferson + seven others - 2,922 days

He wasn't impeached. Trump has the most with two impeachments; Clinton and Johnson are tied for second place with one; and Jefferson is tied with everyone else for third. Same thing with the assassinations: four Presidents are tied for first place with one assassination each, while all the rest are tied for second with none.

Thomas Jefferson was a very odd president, not only did he create a botched version of the bible, he also had one of his slaves be his mistress
+3
Level 62
Apr 16, 2021
Botched is an interesting way to put it. To botch something is to screw it up. He deliberately edited the bible to remove anything that seemed supernatural. You may not agree with his take but it certainly wasn't an accident. He had a goal in mind and achieved it with percision.
