This was really fun

But for some reason, Bahrain seems to appear pink every time I hover over it. Is that supposed to happen?

Hmm, no. Bahrain isn't a possible answer so should not have been turning pink, but I can guess what was happening.

I've now removed it completely along with some other tiny countries that were not possible answers but still on the map. Now everything you can see is a possible answer, unless I've missed somewhere. Thanks for letting me know.

I'm out of words. Speechless. When I clicked on this quiz, I thought that it was a bit suspicious that a blue link had randomly gotten 80 nominations. Now I'm suspicious as to why it didn't get 300. A fun, but challenging quiz, I only managed to get 6/10. 5 stars, nominated, and just wow. To think of how you came up with this idea—and persevered to pull it off—just wow. Again, I'm speechless.

I'm sure this is a great game but it doesn't work at all on my monitor – I see no pink. In fact all I see is a world map and each country lights up black when you click on it. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong here??

Great idea, sadly but all but impossible on an ipad. You have to click on every country to see if it is pink or not. There just isn’t enough time to click on all of them.

Yep, sorry, it isn't suitable for touchscreens as per the caveat. I haven't yet found a way to make it work on them unfortunately so you do need a mouse or similar control method (hence mouse hunt!)

That was a lot of fun. Got 9/10 three times (and 7/10 once) before I was able to finish in time, so the timing is just right. Only quibble is the svg path for the Palestinian Territories appears to be missing, making a big lake between Israel and Jordan.

First time the hardest part was noticing the small pink countries like Lebanon and Malawi at normal scale. Second time I used zoom to variously look closer at each continent and this was waaay easier. Should read the fine print at the top more often but was too tempting to start whizzing the mouse all over the map the first time.

Genuinely one of the most fun "quizzes" on this site, thank you! Having 9/10 countries with 30 seconds to spare is one of the most stressful situations on Jetpunk!

It took me 8 tries to beat it, and I had East Timor in at least 5 of those and not a single a South American country in any of them. Is there any sort of preference algorithm, or is it totally random and I just happened to notice patterns that weren't there?

It uses the normal JetPunk randomiser so it's as random as any other quiz. You were unlucky to keep getting East Timor! South America is the continent you're least likely to have a country in, simply because it has the fewest. Glad you enjoyed it.

Due to the fine movements this requires to select some of the tiny countries (even with zoom), I find it impossible to complete in the allotted time. Maybe that's the idea.

Okay...sometimes it's hard enough just to find the countries, whether using zoom or not. And I'm not a total slowpoke. On the Fast Typing 100 WPM quiz, I usually get 7 right and am halfway to 80 WPM, which means I am definitely above the 90% mark.

I played so many times and always got something like lebanon which is almost invisible on the map so I failed. Now finally got countries that I can actually see (smallest one being Macedonia) so passed and have 1:15 time left still :)

you could do this by continent this is not really fun with three or four obscure islands and the whole world to cover, The US states one is really fun. By continent one for SA Africa Asia maybe but Europe and Oceania for sure

this one is too mean four pinpoint countries and islands when we're working on a good sized laptop just mean and not fun.

USA one does not have enough time most of the time but I m from the east coast and the smll states are not pinpoints actually and you can just turn the time off. The England one has the right amount of time. you could do it by continent but if you are doing the whole world leave out the pinpoint places I mean come on Brunei? And four other pin dot countries?nah

You can zoom for the smaller countries. UK has more time because the counties are less well known than US states and countries.

These are old quizzes now. I’m not going to change them because of one person fussing.
