Given the similarity between [g] and [k], I searched for the Etymology and it turns out ðat Kitega was a former name. So I þink ðat helps show some leniency
Since you seem to be so dedicated to the use of thorns and eths, you'll be disappointed to realize you're using them the wrong way 'round. Remember that "ye" on old signs was a replacement for "þe" (the).
A lot of it is just the fact that they use regular expressions to parse the answers, so they set it up to accept, for example, "one or more 'N's here", meaning that you can throw a lot of really weird things at it that will still technically pass the regular expression validation.
I highly doubt that anyone explicitly set it to specifically allow "antannnnannnnarrrrevo."
Using regex sounds like too much. Each answer for geography proper names shouldn't have that many variants. I understand if Yaoundé is hard, but allowing for antannnnannnnarrrrevo or "RACHEL WEISZ DRIVES A HONDA CIVIC" (reykjavik) is far too much. I don't þink we expect average people to be on Jetpunk, alðough ðat's certainly debatable, but I þink people who actively use Jetpunk tend to be nerds. Oðer people may be bored by a quiz website when ðere's oðer Social Media or hobbies to take up
Some people from countries that aren't Thailand can't necessarily say the full name of Thailand's capital. That full name (Might even be longer than this) being "Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit!". It's really long. Thankfully, the Thai government and other Thai people accept it as "Bangkok".
(Sorry if y'all don't want me to say that! Please don't attack me!)
In my spanish class we had to memorize all of the capitals and states. I learned several things. Equitorial Guinea is a spanish speaking country for one. This is the only reason why I got "Tagucalgolpa" and "Mannagau"
Nice quiz. For some of the questions I didn't have the slightest idea. Kitinga? Nuhot?
I also didn't get Cairo, although that was the most harmless typo of the whole quiz, but my brain couldn't make the transition from ciaro to cairo...
Norsooltan is a little bit mean, I knew which city was searched for and I also knew the new (old) name, but I assumed that Nur Sultan was asked for, since the type-in was for that name.
Oh jeez, I was lucky that I was able to race through the rest of the quiz really fast, because I spent a good 3 minutes scouring my brain for every world capital that started with an N before finally getting the "nuhot" one with only a few seconds to spare.
I highly doubt that anyone explicitly set it to specifically allow "antannnnannnnarrrrevo."
Anyways, not like my opinion mattered.
(Sorry if y'all don't want me to say that! Please don't attack me!)
(Thank you Thai people!)
(Please complain here that it's unfair and I'll think about changing it...)
