Credit to Stewart for showing the way on this method with his Crack The Safe quiz. I'd been trying but could only get the switch working with images, not text, for some reason. Then the solution was delivered from on high...
Good ol’ Stewart. This quiz is great. It’s actually quite different from the click chain method, so I’ll be sure to credit you. I hadn’t even thought how you had to deal with the minimum wrong answers. Nice decoys! Of course on a second attempt people can also just cheat on sudden death. Anyway, it’s wonderful. 👍
Hmm, you can get the answers wrong as long as you click a country that is part of the tour at all. I managed to get to Australia but then had no clue where to go after that, haha. I missed two answers.
No, Australia reaches further south than New Zealand, thanks to the Bishop and Clerk Islets, which are part of the state of Tasmania.
I had New Zealand as a red herring at first, but I thought it was a bit unfair as to look at a map you'd think it was the furthest south, so I removed it.
Great quiz and quiz idea. I think the Japan question is a bit amibuous - according to this https://santandertrade.com/en/portal/analyse-markets/japan/foreign-trade-in-figures USA is Japan's #1 import customer. Plus the word "most" implies majority not plurality.
Why wasn't USA accepted then? And why can't the countries be in alphabetical order? People with limited visual perception ability are punished here for no apparent reason.
Because USA is incorrect. Japan gets most of its imports from China according to the source (by some margin).
It could be in alphabetical order but I wanted the starting square top left and then arranged the others so that the board was evenly used and answers weren't all next to each other i.e. it's not random, some thought went into it to make it a challenge. I appreciate that this makes it more of a challenge to some than others.
Great idea. However, on question 9 I then clicked Australia, which was not the correct answer for that clue however it still didn't kill me, and I went from 9. Japan to 18. Australia "last stop on the tour".... perhaps need to end the game if you don't get the next country in order
