Countries of the World Quiz in Native Language

How many countries can you name in the countries' native names?
Has to be a sovereign nation, so Scotland and England don't count, etc...
Goes by the official language which is most spoken as a first language. For example, name of Ivory Coast in French will be accepted though French is not the most common mother tongue in Ivory Coast, as it is the only official language.
If a country doesn't have an official language, then the quiz goes by the language with the most first language speakers. For example, though the US doesn't have an official language, English is taken as it is the language which is most spoken as mother tongue.
All the country names are romanized and are in latin alphabets, so you need not worry looking for your Cyrillic, Arabic and Korean keyboards:)

The spelling accepted here for Tajikistan is the transliteration of the Russian name. In Tajik it would be better written like this: Tojikiston

Paraguay and Paraguai should be accepted for the country. Paraguay is in spanish and Paraguai is in guarani, both are official languages but spanish is most spoken.

"Goes by the official language which is most spoken as a first language" - I used Guarani because Guarani is the official language that is most spoken at home.

According to 2012 census, 46.3% of Paraguayans spoke both Spanish and Guarani (or Jopara) as language at home, 34% only spoke Guarani, and 15.3% only spoke Spanish.

Because it is impossible to break down that 46.3% bilingual population at home into ones who speak spanish as first language and guarani as first language, I ignored that bit and went with Guarani (because in terms of number of Paraguayans only speaking so and so languages, Guarani exceeds Spanish).

Shouldn't Afghanistan/Afghanestan and Tshad be accepted for Afġānistān and Tšād respectively?

Hmmm not sure.. Romanization of languages often tend to give multiple varying results - not to mention that it is especially difficult to find convenient romanization converter for languages like Pashto.

You know what, I think I'll allow the type-ins you've suggested until some erudite does show up to give advise which shalt be accepted and which shan't.

Nice quiz! I have one comment: English is an official language of Ireland and it's the most spoken first language. So Ireland should just be 'Ireland' instead of Eire. Same with Belarus: Russian is the most spoken official language, it should be 'Belarus'.

Tunisiyah is not what Arabs call the country. We would say Tunus or Tunis. That's the common name. The official name is al-Jumhurriyah at-Tunisiyah (the Tunisian Republic), which is probably where you got mixed up. If you check the Wikipedia page there're notes next to the country's names that explain it. Thanks for the fun quiz!

Thank you!

The change has been made.

Are there any other errs that you've noticed with the Arabic perhaps?

Wdym "alphabetise"? They are in alphabets. If you mean the accents and the orthographic symbols and all, then the answer is no. Those accents and icons are part of the language or standard transliteration, and are included in the answers for a reason.
