Name the longest civil wars in history as of January 1, 2021.
For the purposes of this quiz, a war is a civil war if it appears on this Wikipedia page.
Naming the country where the war takes place is sufficient.
The definition of a civil war is more inclusive than you might think.
Certain civil wars are excluded, since they were likely many separate wars over a long period.

Good quiz, but uk should be counted for The Troubles.

Thanks. The troubles aren't on this list because they don't appear on the source listed in the caveats, and I want to keep the quiz consistent.

Where is the US civil War? And the Chinese civil War?

This quiz does not include every civil war, only the longest ones. The US civil war lasted around 4 years, and the Chinese civil war was split between two intervals, lasting a total of around 13 years. Even if you count the hiatus in the middle, it would still be 22 years, which is less than the lowest one on this list.
