Rabbit is lapin in French but coneja in Spanish. Frog is rana in Spanish but grenouille in French. So if you speak more than one romance language you should be able to get them all!
Fun stuff! I happened to make almost this exact quiz a few weeks ago; the only ones I didn’t remember were deer, ant, and wasp. Luckily formic acid and word similarity saved me!
Oh, I have no qualms. I included bubaline in my quiz, so this one is probably more user friendly. I tend to put stupid little things in my quizzes to amuse myself. Anyway, Berney’s previous quiz on British history is amazing, so I’m happy more people will see it every time he’s featured. :)
Vulpix helped me get Vulpine! I imagine Ursaring is probably helpful for Ursine, though because of the Ursa Major, greater bear, constellation, I've known Ursine to mean bear
That makes no sense. If you got all the other ones, the last one would fall automatically into place. So either you were missing at least two, or none.
No, since you can click on the same answer for multiple animals, you can miss just one. I guessed "corvine" for goat and got it wrong, but then later guessed it correctly for deer, so goat is the only one I got wrong.
and I knew goat probably (at least originally) because in junior high school when I was playing Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers I learned that a human sacrifice in Haitian voudoun - cabrit sans cor - means goat without horns.
If I hadn't played that game, I may have still pieced it together from the chupacabra ("goat sucker") of Mexican folklore. Crazy all the little bits of trivial information that accumulate in our brains over the years...

I knew the most common ones. That helped me narrow it down - but after that it got tough, and I felt like I am dismantling a bomb lol
