I only recognized the word for fire because, when I went to Japan, a friend who was living there pointed out that the character sort of looks like a person waving his arms shouting "fire! fire!".

Also isn’t toilet お手洗い?(otearai)

you could kinda understand it as

洗手间/卫生间 vs 厕所

お手洗い is more formal whereas トイレ is just most people call it on a daily basis

Having only previously studied some Chinese and studying Korean at uni, I found some aspects of this quiz quite straightforward!
