actually, latin is not a romance language. off the top of my head(trust me) latin is actualy the language from which romance languages are derived from which is latin. so, i think youre wrong as romance lanaguges MAY help with latin, but in fact, they are not so and are actually in fact separate. thanks.
I didn't expect to ace that one. I've never seen most of those words, but I could see the connection between avarus and avarice, domus and domicile, caeruleum and cerulean, supra and super. I've heard of "semper fi", "ad hoc", "quid pro quo". I know vox from Apollo 13. I was able to guess most of them from life experience, and deduce the rest through the process of elimination.
20/20. Easy as I am a native French speaker (and I also learnt Latin when I was younger). Maybe there'll be (or there's alreaudy on the site) another quizz with a higher level of difficulty. Would be interesting to take :)
