It would be nice if it also accepted variations of "Rain on your parade" (rains or raining or to rain). And "Easy as Pie" is also a common saying meaning "simple as a slice of pie". Once I got hung up on that, I couldn't think of anything else!!
I think this quiz could be a little shorter -- I definitely didn't need that much time. Also, though I did figure out what it was, "to wolf at the incorrect oak" doesn't make sense as "wolf" is not a synonym for "bark". Did you mean woof? And I agree that the pie makes it confusing as pie and cake are not the same and "easy as pie" is a common saying as well.
I knew all of the sayings right away, but the quiz is pretty picky about wording. That's what took me the longest was figuring out how it was supposed to be worded.
For the benefit of non-Americans, could you please accept "stab in the dark" and "not the brightest tool in the box"?
