Nice quiz. I found most of them to be pretty easy except for Billy Elliot (which I managed to get) and Friday the 13th (which I almost slapped myself for not getting).
I don't think it is very popular outside of the US. It's the only one on there I've never seen, and I know that it is a popular Christmas movie in the US and lots of people watch it as part of their Xmas family traditions but I only know that from talking to Americans, otherwise I would have never heard of it, I've never seen it advertised on TV in the UK. We all watch Die Hard and/or Gremlins on Christmas day over here.
But that was a twist at the end. All along you were supposed to believe it was a guy in a hockey mask. And these are, after all, films described badly.
Oh yeah. I solved that one so fast that I didn't even register it. But you're right. One could argue that Jason being the killer is correct because some of the clues (Star Wars and Lord of the Rings) allude to events across the entire film series rather than just the original, so it's conceivably asking for the whole franchise name rather the original movie specifically, but Jason definitely was not a hockey player.
Only it wasn't Stockholm syndrome, because Belle didn't sympathize with the beast over kidnapping her. The beast sympathized with Belle over being kidnapped, and let her go.
badly described ?. some are wonderfully described ( lotr / Star wars). The wizard of oz one was funny , but the reality of that movie is that all the oz part is a dream because Dorothy is concussed after the tornado, the wicked witch is just the neighbour lady on the bike seen in the start of the movie.
I was a bit upset on the description of the karate kid. It may be badly described, but it is not true. He actually does teach him karate. AND NOT JUST TO MAKE HIM DO CHORES. It is a lesson that works very well. Sorry I am so mad at this. Its just that I get heated when stuff like that is said. Great quiz otherwise!
Didn't care for this one. The attempts to be witty are a little leaden. Dorothy never dropped acid. C3P0 and R2D2 aren't gay. Jason isn't even in the first Friday the 13th movie, and he isn't a hockey player. I get that it's all tongue-in-cheek, but there is a difference between being playful and being wrong. Also not sure why we needed three animated Disney films released within five years of each other. Nice idea, poor execution.
This was a good quiz, but I feel like "Up" was poorly described in that the wife didn't just "leave him," she died, and that definitely affected my ability to guess the answer because of the implications made by the phrasing of that clue. Otherwise, I did enjoy this.
Tried coming up with some of these with my friend. We got "Criminal finds a weird lamp and uses it to marry a princess" for Aladdin. This was so much better, I'm laughing so hard. Awesome job!
Why do people feel the need to correct the quiz when it is purposefully written incorrectly? It's like saying the words are spelled wrong in a misspelled words quiz...
but didnt do very well
Lol'd hard at the fate of that poor iceberg. XD
Badly Described Disney Movies
A bit heavy on the Disney/children side though
Honestly, I needed this.
5 stars and subbed.
