Probably way too late to give myself a plug and have it count for anything, but I liked my description of Twilight better than any of the descriptions for movies here. Movies by Questionable Premise

A quiz basically in the same vein.

Thanks Mr. Golly. I really learned my lesson. I hope you'll share more sagely advice with us in the future so we can all learn how best to achieve the same sort of universal popularity I'm sure you enjoy. And you're absolutely right. Leaving friendly suggestions for people to take and enjoy quizzes I authored in the comments sections of other, very similar quizzes, probably had nothing to do with me at one point being the most-subscribed to quiz author on the site after Quizmaster... I'll have to try a different approach I guess. Thanks again. For your unsolicited feedback that came only 7 years after I left the above comment. Timely, topical, relevant, important, and much appreciated. Don't ever let anyone tell you you're not the hero you believe yourself to be.

I forgot his name was Billy. I got the surname only. Also Little Mermaid should be accepted also without the "The". I wonder if Indiana Jones's description would fit Tomb Raider as well? I don't recall museums in that one either. A good quiz otherwise!

Only missed Billy Elliot... but have never seen that one and have no idea what it's about. The clue for Gizmo... rabbit? really? More like a... small monkey... or maybe a guinea pig... or a Furby. Though I realize Mogwais were around before Furbys.

If you still don't know what it's about 6 years later - It's about a kid who's dad works in the mines and wants him to learn boxing, but he skives boxing training to learn ballet and it goes through his life in the area he lives in that's a really poor area. I won't spoil the ending, but the film is quite funny. I haven't given the best description but I do recommend it.

I got the 13 that I knew... these descriptions are not that bad, in fact ^^. I especially loved the Lord of the Rings one. The same holds about the books... 1500 pages which can be summarized in one or two (I won't say that I didn't like it at all but the storyline is not really dense).

+1
Level 67
Aug 28, 2019
Oh yeah. I solved that one so fast that I didn't even register it. But you're right. One could argue that Jason being the killer is correct because some of the clues (Star Wars and Lord of the Rings) allude to events across the entire film series rather than just the original, so it's conceivably asking for the whole franchise name rather the original movie specifically, but Jason definitely was not a hockey player.

badly described ?. some are wonderfully described ( lotr / Star wars). Didn't care for this one. The attempts to be witty are a little leaden. Dorothy never dropped acid. C3P0 and R2D2 aren't gay. Jason isn't even in the first Friday the 13th movie, and he isn't a hockey player. I get that it's all tongue-in-cheek, but there is a difference between being playful and being wrong.
