I love Thailand but, as Eric Cartman would say, this quiz is a big plate of meecrob. I typed in "Bhumibol," "Adulyadej," "Bhumibol Adulyadej," "Rama IX," and "Rama 9"... and none of those were accepted. All of them should be. I tried "Thai" and "Thai Airways" for the airline, at least one of those should be accepted.
and I missed "Kingdom of Thailand" because you have to type out all of that... when the clue implies that you just need one word. :( So.. I tried "Kingdom," and when that didn't work I tried "Land," "Commonwealth," "Republic," "Federation," "Realm," etc until finally giving up.
Thanks for comments. Type-ins for the king's name and the full name of Thailand will be edited. However, Thai Airways and Thai Airways International are not the same airlines. The former one ceased its operation and merged with the latter one.
really? Had no idea. Thai Airways was a good airline. Never even heard of the latter... and I've been to Thailand a bunch of times. Flown on Nok Air, Silk, etc.
I guess this: http://www.thaiairways.com/ is the website for Thai Airways International... but... how is anyone supposed to know that? It just says "Thai" on the website... the address is "thai airways".. in fact on the front page it doesn't say "Thai Airways International" anywhere. I only saw it when it came up in google results. So I guess the one that I never heard of before is Thai Airways, and just assumed that Thai Airways International is Thai Airways because that's what I've always seen and always heard it called and what appears on all their literature and on their website etc. All over the site they use the two names as if they are interchangeable. IMO I think you should accept Thai Airways, but, whatever, it's your quiz. :) sawasdee khrap.
