hm... this is the 2nd user quiz I've taken today that didn't have Khartoum but should have. There are 5 million people in Khartoum. and maybe because I just took that other one and it did not include Giza (which is sometimes grouped in with Cairo), I didn't guess it on this one.

I guess you're just counting "city proper" populations, otherwise Omdurman is part of the Khartoum metro area.

Where I was looking, it DOES show Khartoum of having a population of 5 million (5,862,500 actually), but that's for metropolitan population. Apparently, the city proper population is only 1,244,500, so it is under Kaduna, Nigeria for the number 26 spot. But, who knows? I may have my information wrong.
